Visual Art Scholarship Application Requirements
Visual Art scholarships are open to students pursuing degrees or certificates in the Fine Arts and Graphic Design programs.
- Scholarship recipients are required to complete six credit hours of course work each semester and maintain a B average in these courses. It is preferred that recipients enroll in two courses with the ART prefix, but it is acceptable to enroll in one ART course and one other course required by the art degree or certificate program.
- Scholarship recipients will be notified by e-mail and will be required to acknowledge their scholarship with a “Thank you”.
- Recipients may be asked to assist with preparations for the Student Exhibition in the YC Art Gallery as needed or other related Art Department activities.
- Applications must be submitted online and include five (5) portfolio images. Submissions after the deadline or incomplete submissions may not be considered.
File Requirements
Portfolio images should be in JPEG format no larger than 12 inches on the largest side and at 72 ppi. Image files should be labeled as follows: last name, first name, image #. (example: Doe,John,1.jpg) Submit a total of five images of recent artwork.
Visual Art Scholarship Application Deadlines
The Fall 2024 scholarship application will be available on December 1, 2023; the priority deadline is April 15, 2024.
Final deadline for the 2024-2025 academic year or for the Fall 2024 only applications is May 15, 2024.
